Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the tour?

The 2024 tour is September 7 and 8, from 10 am to 5 pm, in the Sandia Heights neighborhood surrounding the Tramway in far northeast Albuquerque. The tour is spread across multiple stops hosted in the homes of the artists, both indoors and outdoors. See the tour map for addresses of each stop.

How much does it cost?

There is no cost or ticketing required to participate, but artists will have their work for sale.

Where can I get a tour map and brochure?

A brochure with map can be downloaded from our website. Printed brochures will be available at all the stops during the tour, or at the Sandia Heights Homeowners Association office, 12700 San Rafael NE #3, in the weeks before the tour.

Do I need to go to all the stops in order?

No, visit any or all of the stops in whatever order you like!

Can I walk between stops?

Sandia Heights is nearly 2.5 miles from north to south and 1 mile east to west on hilly terrain, so walking all the stops would be difficult. However, cycling can be a great way to get around. Parking for vehicles is either in the driveway of the stop or along the street. Please do not block other neighbors’ driveways or road access.

Where can I find food and restrooms?

Three of our in-kind sponsors, O’Beans Coffee Roasters, County Line Barbeque, and Boese Brothers Brewery, have graciously offered lunch specials and restroom access for tour guests. See the tour map for locations.

Who are the artists?

The artists range from seasoned professionals to hobbyists and those showing their work publicly for the first time, but are all residents of the Sandia Heights neighborhood. A very limited number of non-resident professional artists may also be juried into the tour as space allows.

How do I join the tour as an artist?

Please fill out the artist contact form to express interest in the 2025 tour. Artists living in Sandia Heights of all types and skill levels are welcome to join the tour. We also accept a limited number of non-resident artists through a jury process, with no application fee. This is an artist-organized tour, so all participating artists are expected to contribute to planning and preparation for the event.

What if I have other questions?

Please fill out the contact form and we will get back to you.
